It’s a Sunday night. You’ve just enjoyed dinner, and now it’s time to relax and unwind with a glass of red and a true crime documentary on the couch.
But just as you sit down, snuggle up with a blanket and reach for the tv remote, it hits you. You know what I’m talking about.
The Sunday Scaries.
AKA, that queasy feeling you get in the pit of your stomach that shows up like clockwork because you’re dreading the work week ahead.
I won’t lie, when I was working a 9 to 5 job, I got this feeling almost every week – and it was not enjoyable. I dreamt of a life where I was excited by my work and one where I wasn’t beholden to someone else’s time.
More than anything in the world, I wanted freedom.

- [05:23] How to give your notice. 1. Choose the date you're going to quit. 2. Start taking action to build your runway. 3. Tell supportive friends and family. 4. Give notice.
- [07:55] Choose your exit date. It's not real until it's scheduled.
- [14:22] Grab a sticky note and Sharpie. Put the date on the sticky note and put it where you can see it everyday.
- [15:32] Build your runway. Your runway will consist of the specific steps that you need to take before you make your exit.
- [18:24] Define your starter idea. Create a financial plan. Be willing to put yourself out there. Create your new work space. Tell a few supportive family and friends. Commit to the plan you make. Focus on creating content.
- [25:04] Tell supportive family members and friends. When you tell people your plan, you start to own it.
- [31:48] Give notice!
