- [03:33] Nicole Burke has grown Gardenary by making video a major part of her marketing plan.
- [10:07] In 2015, she started a consulting business called Rooted Garden with just $400. She made over $120,000 in the first year. She marketed her business with photos on Instagram.
- [12:33] She was so busy she ended up in the hospital three times because her time was maxed out. She needed to scale.
- [13:03] She signed up for B-School and listened to Courses That Convert on a road trip. She went home and created her first course in 2021.
- [15:33] She spent over $600,000 on paid ads in 2021, garnering 30,000 leads. By 2022, leads were getting very expensive.
- [16:45] In 2022, she went all in on video. She exceeded 2021 revenue and spent less than $25,000 on paid ads.
- [18:56] She uses a wide variety of video formats including b-roll, voice to text, quick clips with narration, short clips, a lot of text, and no text.
- [26:27] Every day she posts three short-form videos on Instagram and TikTok. Instagram went from 260,000 to 428,000 followers since January.
- [28:08] She uses Manychat DMs on Instagram. She’s had 46,000 keyword uses since January with a 2/3 conversion rate.
- [35:31] Studies have shown that volume leads to better quality. Practice creates better work.
- [45:24] When you make your opinions clear and express them in your videos, it allows your audience to know whether you are for them or not.
